I have a magazine article here from 1993 where they directly tested the 300ZX, Supra, 3000GT VR4, RX-7, and NSX against each other. In the 0-60 acceleration test, the Supra finished 1st, then the Z, then the RX-7, then the 3000GT VR4, and finally the NSX. In the 1/4 mile test, the Supra finished 1st, then the Z, then the NSX, then the RX-7, and finally the 3000GT VR4. The Z's trap speed was 3 mph faster, which is quite a bit more power. In fact, the biggest gap in that test was between 2nd and 3rd place which was the 300ZX and the NSX.
